Anger

When you find yourself angry, make an effort to resolve the issues.  Do not focus on the outside world instead focus on the inside world.  Your body may be in Dubai but your mind should be in Kashmir.  Air Condition the mind.  Do not put the outside on the inside.  The heart is the temple.  Discover your heart.  Build the temple in your heart with your mind.  This is devotion.

Be Active

If we are able to live in a state of surrender, victory will certainly be ours.  A five year old child does not need much resources but a sixty year old will need a lot more resources to survive.  Between the ages of six to sixty we need to be active in this world, earn our living and roam the world to earn our livelihood.  While we grow and live, God will always ensure that we have all that we need and require.

Mahamathram

Know that ‘Aum SharavanaBhava is mahamantram that will give you victory.  It is important that the mind is always kept happy.  The world is full of roses and thorns.  We live in duality.  We think we are always engaged in good actions but the fact is that there are always enemies that engage our attentions and disturb our minds.  We need God if we are to be happy.  Only God can help us to surrender to His feet.  God is always willing to help us in this direction but we must be prepared to give up our ego for that to happen.

Shakthi

You cannot live without Shakthi.  Shakthi is within everyone and everything.  If you realize Shakthi and live, She will give you everything.  That is why you should do seva to Shakthi.  Look after your mother, embrace your father, live with Guru and surrender your self to the Lord.  Reside in your parents Sankalpam, Guru's Sanithyam and God's Prasadam.  In order to propagate dharma, you should do seva.

Bhakthi

Darshana Bhakthi, Sharavana Bhakthi and Seva Bhakthi are crucial for our lives.  We should have the desire to perform seva and must realise that only the prasadam got through seva will give us true and eternal happiness.

Surrender

Surrender is essential, when such surrender exists, the Guru guides the devotee.  Surrender transforms all offerings into prasadam.  There is no God without life and no life without God.  Spiritual practice comes from merit accumulated in our previous births.  This practice eventually fructifies in this life.

Love Faith and Surrender

Guru knows what is good for you and what is bad for you.  He has the knowledge of everything hence He can guide you.  All He needs is your love, faith and surrender.  He will take care of everything else.  In every action of a Guru there is a teaching.

Place for God

Make place for God.  Give way to the Almighty.  Reserve a place for him in your lives.  He is primary, everything else is secondary.  Surrender all thoughts, words and actions to God.  It is such a surrender that victory is to be sought.  A doctor can only cure up to eighty percent, but a Guru can cure you up to hundred percent.  A guru comes into your life to cut the distance between God and you.  He bridges the distance.

Selfless Service

If you expect God to listen to you and provide you with positive experiences, then you should be equally ready to serve Him by performing selfless service to others.  If you give food and shelter to a dog, it reciprocates by looking after you and your property as a watch dog.  Similarly if we recognise that God exists in all beings and serve them without fear or favour, the same God provide us the capacity to our lives with joy, happiness and comfort.

Serve The Poor

Perform your actions as you perform worship.  God is omnipresent and omniscient.  We water the plants and add manure at the bottom.  This does not prevent the leaves that adorn the plant on the outside to get nourishment.  Similarly if we serve the poor and the under privileged as a form of worship, the result comes back to us in the form of God’s Grace.

Devotion

Learn from the tortoise.  It transverses the earth as well as the water with ease and precision.  When attacked, it curls up firmly like a rock and becomes an impenetrable fortress.  Your devotion too must be like the tortoise.  It must be firmly focused upon the inside never wavering in faith and rocklike in strength.

Goodness

The one quality that we must always have with us is goodness.  Service to God creates punyam or spiritual merit.  The punyam creates a yogam or destiny to enter a spiritual life.

Nurture Life

The temple is the residence of God.  All of you go searching for luxuries and resources.  What we should be searching for is life and how we ought to nurture it.  Resources will come and go but life needs to be consciously nurtured and developed.  Can my eyes see on their own? Can my senses function on their own? Our eyes are like glass.  We need to periodically remove the dust and clean them.   We must remove the dust without destroying the eyes.  Life is therefore more important than luxuries.  Live in goodness.

Parents and Ancestors

Do not forget your duties to your parents by thinking only of your wife and children.  When our parents die, their souls wander to take human rebirth to fulfil their unfulfilled desires.  Performing rites for our ancestors after their death is essential to assuage their desires and seek their blessings.

Our Body

Our body is like a speedometer.  It has its own pace; it should not be compared with others.  We should not crave for the fortune and happiness enjoyed by others.  When we succumb to these desires, we accrue negative karmas.  Instead, we should thank God for what He has given us.  If we keep asking God for what we do not deserve, it is very likely that somebody else will enjoy those fruits even if God grant us those blessings.
