Spiritual Path

If you want to climb the steps of the spiritual path, you must be willing to climb down the steps to help people less fortunate than you.  This is the essence of devotion, faith and surrender.  Such service helps to accumulate spiritual merit and opens the path to experience Godliness.

Stalam

We need peace wherever we are.  Stalapunyam is essential, for which we need arul.  Our luxuries are not important, our  mind is. Even if we have stalam and luxuries, our kaalam must co-operate with us. Only then you will be able to experience and derive happiness from your possessions.  So do seva sincerely with samarpanam and bhakthi.  Each and every thought, word and action of ours should have the Lord in it.

Bakthi is Shakthi, Shakthi is Mukthi!

The world known does not extend beyond the size of the palm of our hands.  But the world unknown extends to the entire universe.  Always call upon Shiva and Shakthi, it is important that divine essence of Guru is understood.  He is not the body, his existence comprises of the entire universe.  He is in you.  He is Jnana! He is Shakthi!  Bakthi is Shakthi, Shakthi is Mukthi!

Love

Surrender to God.  Be in that state all the time.  Entertain and nourish good thoughts, words and deeds.  Maintain God like an emperor inside you! Do not keep him in poverty!  Love is the fulfilling law of the universe!  Love completes, fulfils and makes life wholesome.  Speak less through the mouth and more through the mind.

Devotion

In our devotion lies our power and in our power lies our salvation.  Guru is our armour.  

Guard against bad speech.  Practice silence.  It is a great virtue.  Cultivate devotion by reciting the Name.  The power of such recitation is immense.  Hanuman was able to lift the mountain by chanting Lord Rama's name.  Do namasmaran and practise omkaram.  Be like Hanuman; peaceful, happy and silent.

Never Alone

Never say that you are alone. There is always somebody watching us.  Develop that somebody in you.  He knows everything.  He is fully aware of all your thoughts, words  and deeds.  He has revealed himself even in a vessel of boiling milk in the form of a spear!  He showed His face and His visage was clearly visible.  It is faith that creates these kind of miracles.

Efforts and Belief

Just by uttering Lord Shiva's name, you will not get mukthi.  You should keep the Lord in your heart and worship him.  Just by believing in God, you will not be able to achieve in life.  Your efforts are of utmost importance.  Is  it possible for a child to pass exam only by believing in God without studying?  Your efforts combined with a belief in God will lead to success.

Guru

Always obey your Guru. His counsel is ever for your good. You may not understand that but He understands that, that is why He is your Guru! Our duty lies in serving the feet of the Guru and spreading His messages to others so that others are brought to realise that message. Do not yearn after money, power and position. These will only take you away from service. Listening to the words of the Guru is your prime duty.

The Ravanas of this world will always tell you that is futile to meet with Sri Rama and that such encounters are a waste of time.  By influencing seekers to go against the Lord, they will do their utmost to guide seekers away from the Lord.

But Hanumans of this world will always tell you that there is no greater gift in this world than to have access to the Supreme Lord and those seekers must learn to cherish and value this precious opportunity for their own development.  Anjeneya will always counsel devotees to be with Sri Rama all the time.

God's Arul

You can see a fruit and experience its taste but the nutrients within it cannot be viewed or felt.  This is God.  We need only nutrients.  The beauty and taste of fruits are present only for us to consume it and derive its nutrients.  Everything has God’s arul.  So we have to embrace the arul.  In order to get fruits from a tree it is mandatory to embrace and care for it.  Similarly embrace and respect your life and you will get its fruit.  This is a gift from the Lord.  So life must be kept aloft and worshipped.

Biggest Pocession

Life is our biggest possession.  It must be kept in a good place.  It must constantly ameliorate its position.  We must keep climbing up.  Carrying only the necessary things and leaving out the unnecessary items will enable us to reach the acme soon.

Realize God

Self-Protection is necessary.  If you have a problem in your eye, you go to the doctor and get spectacles.  This is only for your eyes, not for the

world.  That is how life is.  If you have a problem, you ought to take efforts to sort it out and then succeed in life.  You should earn the power to overcome problems.  Realize the Lord within you and He will protect you.

Problems

Problems will come to everybody.  Consider the story of Rama and Krishna and the problems they had to face.  Similarly, we need to engage challenges with verve and perspicacity.  You must not store everything in your mind.  Store what is necessary and remove what is not essential.  If you store everything inside, it will show upon your face.  Do not allow your mind to dwell upon sadness, grief or anger.  Instead say to yourself that God will come to our rescue.
